Farmers & Ranchers

We value our relationships with farmers and ranchers that share the same values of sustainable agriculture production balanced with wildlife and water conservation.

We work with growers and producers on our properties through partnerships, lease agreements, custom farming, or just sharing some notes and building relationships.

We have grasslands, irrigated cropland, and dry cropland that we lease or partner with growers and ranchers to produce cotton, corn, milo, haygrazer, sunflowers, wheat, and raise cattle.

Outdoorsman & Hunters

Our passion for wildlife and hunting is the reason we created Playa Lake Farm & Ranch. Playa Lakes are the primary wildlife habitat of the south plains and are critical wintering habitat for North American waterfowl in the central flyway.

Access to hunting opportunities is the key component to ensuring the heritage and tradition of hunting is carried out with future generations.

We work with hunters through guided or unguided hunts for ducks, geese, sandhill crane, dove, turkey, quail, pheasant, wild hogs, prairie dogs, predators, mule and whitetail deer. One of our goals is to share unique hunting experiences with conservation minded hunters like us, their families, and friends.

Outfitters & Hunting Guides

We work with a variety of hunting guides and outfitters and support how you provide unique and professional hunting experiences for people wanting to enjoy the great outdoors. We work with guides and outfitters directly through lease agreements or independent contractor agreements.

Our properties are set up well for outfitting and guiding and our commitment to the enhancement of wildlife habitat will ensure your successes on our properties throughout multiple hunting seasons.

Birdwatchers

Our portfolio of multiple playa lake properties distributed throughout multiple counties in the South Plains of Texas makes for an extremely diverse and exciting birdwatching experience.

We offer year round bird watching experiences through guided or unguided trips. The Playa Lakes Region of the South Plains is a super highway for migrating birds of all species, especially waterfowl.

The South Plains is an intensely farmed region and the playa lake habitat that is native, restored, or enhanced for the benefit wildlife is extremely attractive for many birds.

Beekeepers

Bees are a critical pollinator that has a declining population and we want to support efforts to maintain and improve bee populations in North America. We work with beekeepers who want to use our land to run their honeybee hives or entomologist seeking to increase wild populations.

In the summer and early fall our crops are generally flowering and the native pollinator plants in and around our playa lakes are blooming and are excellent host for pollinating bees.

Conservation Organizations

Conservation Organizations are a key staple for preserving our land and wildlife for the benefit of future generations.

We collaborate and work with conservation organizations through using our playa lake lands for habitat projects, research, education, and public awareness.

Brokers & Real Estate Agents

We are always looking to acquire new properties and are interested in evaluating any opportunity. We have completed transactions with numerous real estate agents and land brokers throughout the South Plains of Texas and beyond.

We are happy to share our buying criteria so that agents and brokers can look for off the market acquisition opportunities to bring to us and we always enjoy hearing about your new or upcoming listings.

Energy Industry

We believe in the sustainable production of natural resources and we work openly with energy companies who are wanting to use our land.  Sustainable production of oil, gas, and renewable resources is key to American Independence and is a concept we openly support.

Cooperation among landowners is a key component of sustainable energy and we encourage our peers to collaborate with the energy industry on key issues. Some of the worlds leading environmental and conservation efforts are supported or led by energy company's or individuals with energy backgrounds, this is a concept we all can believe in and must support as landowners.

Research Organizations

Data driven research is the key to the future of the sustainable balance between production and conservation. With increasing demand for various uses of land there is still a great amount of critical research needed to understand playa lakes and their impact on water conservation, wildlife conservation, and sustainable resource production.

We work with Universities and other Researches Organizations to allow use of our lands for research projects which support conservation values and sustainability.

State & Federal Agencies

One of the many things that makes America the greatest county in the world is the support the government provides its people and their land. State and Federal Agency's employee a wealth of knowledgeable folks who understand conservation and value landowners who openly work with them towards common goals.

We work with many different State and Federal Agencies as we focus our efforts to understand policy implementation criteria to successfully accomplish our shared goals and the vision for a balance between wildlife and water conservation with sustainable agriculture and energy production.

Landowners & Heirs

We have a unique understanding of land ownership and work with landowners and heirs in the event they want to sell or lease their property.

We also provide consultation services for other landowners wanting to adopt the same land use and practices we implement at Playa Lake Farm & Ranch.

Education & Youth Organizations

Our future lies within the hands of our next generation and we want to educate our youth on the importance of key issues involved with playa lakes, wildlife and water conservation, and sustainable agriculture and energy production
